MP3 Recorder for Windows XP, win2000 and win 98

MP3 Recorder XP allows you easily record voice or music directly to MP3 format from microphone input, line-in input or sound being played by other applications, including internet broadcasts, and sorts them in sequences by date and time stamped in a listbox. To compare with other programs, you needn't create a file name first. It's automatic naming system lets you record sound immediately by just one click. With a tagging system, you can also append notes to each audio file. It is ideal for recording interviews, news or melodies from radio, speech in conferences, and other situations that require instant recording.

Customer's comments

I use this regularly to record radio programmes. I like its simplicity. I also use it during meetings and conferences to record speech.

yu tong, You are to be complimented on the fine program. It does a ''simple'' job. Records sound from the PC to a mp3 format file. Not a simple program to write, but a simple goal. It has all the inputs and controls to do this. And they are presented in a logical and easy to read manner. A interesting use I have for the program is to use it on my ''tablet'' PC to record live from the microphone. The mp3 format will reduce disk space used. The automatic file name generation for the output is wonderful. With the ''tablet'' PC there is no keyboard and this feature is needed. Also it is nice to not have to name each recording as it is made. but to name them later. If this is the ''one click recording'' then it is great. I have a special need in that I have very poor eyesight. Many programmers are too concerned with making their user interface look ''cool'' that they become unreadable to me. The '' MP3 Recorder XP" looks nice and the text is very readable. The control buttons are ok as far as seeing them. The background on the buttons are light for the white and yellow icons to been seen well. The timer is very very readable. Your program is one of the best I have used. You did a fine job. Thank you.

I install it in my dell inspiron 2650 laptop computer and use it every day to record my thoughts as my voice diary. I think PC based windows recorder has far better sound quality than portable digital voice recorder. Plus, my PC can record over 2000 hours which is far longer than its competitors.

Designer's words

Everyday we do so many things. Recording what we do is recording our history. But keeping diaries is tiring. If we speak out our thoughts instead of writing, we will save a lot of time as well as trouble. This program is designed for reporters, writers, scientists, entrepreneurs, computer programmers, music collectors, students, and more...

It's so small (0.64M) that you can store it on a floppy disk! Even with the trial version you still can record 100 seconds per message.

For the price of ONLY $15.00 and you will have a faithful everyday life companion.

How to record internet broadcasts? Some customers ask me how to set up soundcard's record control. I tested some sound cards carefully including Creative SB Live!, Diamond S90, and Intel AC97 integrated and wrote a tutorial here.
